Bio

I was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and I grew up in a Christian home. Having confessed my faith in Christ at an early age, I committed my life to ministry at the age of sixteen and pursued an
education in theology and ministry. I served as a pastor of Baptist churches for over twenty years in Oklahoma and Texas, and I worked in missions around the United States, in Tanzania, Belize and Costa Rica.
Eventually, my theology became more sacramental and inclusive, so I sought a place of ministry where I could serve and be true to my convictions. In 2014, I was ordained as a deacon and then as a priest in
Apostolic succession as part of The International Free Protestant Episcopal Church, which is part of the Anglican Free Communion. In December 2018, I was incardinated in the EACA.
I began my studies at Oklahoma Baptist University and completed a bachelor’s degree in theology, Master of Ministry and Doctor of Ministry degrees at Andersonville Theological Seminary. I have done post-doctoral studies at the Graduate Theological Foundation and theological studies at the University of Oxford through the Continuing Education Department, Rewley House. I have served as a correctional chaplain since 2015, and I am currently a chaplain with the New Mexico Corrections Department. My wife DJ and I have four grown children, and one grandson.
